An epiphytic subshrub that grows primarily in the wet tropical regions from Mexico to Colombia. Palmate leaves have 5 (sometimes 7 to 9) leaflets that can grow up to 18" wide. The upright spadix is purplish in color when blooming. In its native habitat, it scrambles up tree trunks and hangs on with its aerial roots. A stunning specimen.
